This project involved the addition of a garage, media room, game room and guest quarters to the historic "Lamont House" designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw in 1924.

The original coach house was no longer available for a garage as it had been redeveloped as a separate single family home. Rather than build a new coach house to accommodate the goals of this project, the existing servant's wing was expanded to accommodate the four-car garage. The media room and game room are located on the first floor of the reconfigured servants wing with the guest suite is on the second floor.

Since the home is historic, it remained important for the built-in millwork, vaulted ceilings, beamed ceilings, hardwood flooring, and intricate tile patterns to provide continuity with the materials and design quality of the existing home; this permitted the addition to blend seamlessly.
