The goal of this project was to provide new space as well as to renovate and restore existing space. Restoration work was provided throughout the entire home and renovation work focused on major mechanical items. The addition provides an expanded kitchen, a breakfast area and family room on the first floor and a new master bedroom suite on the second floor.

The coach house also received a complete renovation. Now encompassing not only a two-car garage and workshop, this 1,600 sq. ft. plus coach house also includes a sitting room, kitchenette, and bedroom. There were no changes to the overall massing of the structure; however the circa 1899 coach house's façade was sheathed in a roughly textured gray stucco to match the façade of the main house and features five, round copper arched dormers.

This project was honored with a Preservation Award in 2001 from the Glencoe Historic Preservation Commission.
