The challenge was to design an addition for a new library and bedroom suite while not detracting from the charm and character of the home. This was achieved by expanding to the west with a footprint that matched the existing living room to the south. Careful attention was given to replicating the inset brick patterns and exposed timber frame. |

In 2004, this project was honored with a First Place Award from the Crystal Design Awards and a Second Place Award from the Chicago Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association Additionally, this project was honored with a Preservation Award in 2003 from the Glencoe Historic Preservation Commission.. |
